Inspect the unit, not the listing
A listing describes a model. A pre-delivery record should show the exact car assigned to the order. The source video records a BYD Seagull exterior, production plate, cabin, tire display, seats and boot.
Separate model year from production date
The plate shown records August 2026 production for this vehicle. That date should be kept separate from the marketed model year and trim. Buyers should confirm both fields in the written order and vehicle documents.
Capture condition and displayed information
Use a slow exterior walkaround and clear cabin views. Photograph the odometer, dashboard messages and tire information when visible. Record seats, boot and agreed accessories. A video supports the record but does not replace a written inspection scope or technical diagnosis.
Keep the VIN private and traceable
The buyer's private file should match the video and report to the full VIN. Public content should hide the complete number. This preserves traceability for the transaction without exposing a sensitive vehicle identifier.
Use a repeatable acceptance sequence
Begin with a continuous walkaround that establishes the vehicle identity and overall condition, then record the production plate, glass, lamps, panels, wheels and tires. Continue inside with odometer, warning messages, screens, air conditioning, windows, locks, seats and charging equipment. Finish with the boot, tools, keys and agreed accessories. A fixed sequence reduces omissions and makes two vehicles in the same order easier to compare.
If a difference appears, record it as an exception with a close photograph, responsible person and agreed resolution. Do not hide the issue by cutting the video around it. The buyer's private report should show whether the item was accepted, corrected before dispatch or left for a later claim. This exception log is more useful than a polished video because it connects visible condition to a decision and a responsible party.
Close the inspection with a signed evidence package
After the visual inspection, the buyer should receive a dated report that identifies the unit, lists the agreed checks and records every exception. Attach original photographs or video, the visible odometer and dashboard state, key count, accessory list and the decision for each issue. The person performing the inspection and the person approving dispatch should be identifiable inside the private order file.
Acceptance should mean that the evidence matches the written order, not simply that the vehicle looks clean on camera. If diagnostics, charging tests or road testing were outside the agreed scope, say so explicitly. This keeps the pre-delivery inspection useful without presenting it as a complete mechanical certification.
