Mixed-Brand Container Loading: What Must Be Confirmed First

Real footage of Jetour, Toyota Levin and BYD Yuan UP vehicles shows why dimensions, quantities, protection, securing and route must be checked for every mixed-model load.

One successful load is evidence, not a universal layout

The video records Jetour, Toyota Levin and BYD Yuan UP vehicles being loaded in one operation. Protective padding and securing points are visible. It proves that this combination was handled at this loading stage, but it does not mean any quantity or model mix will fit the same way.

Vehicle dimensions, ride height, wheelbase and body shape change the clearances inside a container. The loading contractor also needs working space for ramps, supports, padding and restraints. A plan should therefore be drawn from the exact model list, not copied from a short video.

Confirm the exact vehicles and quantities

A useful loading request names every vehicle, model year or body version, quantity and condition. New and used vehicles may require different preparation, while accessories or modifications can change exterior dimensions. If a model identity is uncertain, resolve it before the loading calculation.

Protection and restraint need their own record

Photographs should show the vehicle position, clearance near panels and glass, protective contact points and the visible restraint arrangement. Buyers should also keep a pre-loading condition record for each unit so a later issue can be compared with the state before the doors closed.

Visible padding is helpful evidence, but it is not a certification of the complete loading system. Responsibility, approved equipment and transport standards depend on the contractor, carrier, route and shipment agreement.

Keep shipment stages accurate

Loading footage documents loading. It does not prove that the vessel departed, the container cleared every procedure or the vehicles arrived at destination. A reliable buyer update labels each stage separately and adds the relevant transport document or destination evidence when it becomes available.

Information to send for a mixed-model plan

Send the model list, quantity of each model, condition, destination country and port. Add any dimensional change caused by accessories or modification and state whether the request is for one container or a larger programme. Zebra Motors can then check sourcing and loading feasibility with the relevant partners.

Build the loading plan before vehicles reach the container

A mixed-brand load should start with a vehicle-by-vehicle worksheet. Record overall length, width, height, curb weight, drive type, ground clearance and any removable exterior parts. Add the container type and internal dimensions, then draw the loading order. This prevents a late discovery that one mirror, roof accessory or low front lip changes the usable clearance.

The operational checklist should also cover battery state of charge, fuel level where applicable, alarm and transport modes, key count, wheel-chock and lashing points, protective materials and the person responsible for each handover. Photograph the VIN-linked unit before loading, after positioning and after final securing. Keep those images with the packing list so the importer can distinguish planning evidence, loading evidence and final shipping documents.

  • Confirm dimensions from the exact trim, not a similar model.
  • Approve loading order and securing points before arrival.
  • Record condition and identifiers at every handover.
  • Treat the final packing list as the shipment record.

Questions importers ask

Can any three car models be loaded in one container?

No. The exact dimensions, quantities, loading equipment, clearances and route must be checked for each plan.

Does loading video prove destination delivery?

No. It records the loading stage. Departure and arrival require their own documents or evidence.
